About Reed J. Moran
Reed is a lifelong Santa Rosa resident and graduate of Cardinal Newman High School. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University and went on to receive both a Master of Legal Studies and J.D., cum laude, from Empire College School of Law. During law school, he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Torts, the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award, and multiple community service awards for his work with Empire’s Immigration Law Clinic and the Sonoma County Self-Help Access Center, where he assisted community members with family law matters.
Reed takes pride in serving the Sonoma County community through community service and honest legal guidance. He helped local families, including his own, recover from the 2017 Tubbs Fire and 2019 Kincade Fire, personally negotiating over $8 million in additional compensation beyond initial settlement offers for local families and businesses.
Outside of work, Reed enjoys time with his wife Nicole, a family law attorney he met in law school, and their two spirited children, a 13-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son. As a family, they love traveling whenever possible, especially to Bodega Bay and Disneyland. Reed also enjoys golfing, kayaking, trivia nights, and being a goof with his kids whenever he gets the chance.
He is admitted to practice law in California and is an active member of the local community:
